The Culture House in Guzelcamli has recently opened its doors to public. The initive fot this cultural centre comes from the Kusadasi Municipaliy. The Culture House is home to everything about the Aegean culture such as the typical Aegean cuisine, drinks, traditional clothing and scenes from the daily life.
Guzelcamli Culture House had been closed for a long time. But fortunately, it’s open again and offers the opportunity to travel back in time. It’s possible to see how our grandfathers and grandmothers lived and to experience traces of our past and culture. You can also see some tools used in livestock farming and agriculture.
There is a section with some old pottery, baskets , chairs and kitchenware. In short, in Guzelcamli Culture House, you can find everything that a Guzelcamli family used in and around their house in the older days. There are also objects such as old grain sieves, oxcarts and saddles, which the new generation may not be familiar with, but which the people born in villages may know very well. Hand-woven carpets by the women of the village and the tools to wave carpets with are also shown.
The saddlebags, village rooms, floor eating tables, floor cushions, carpets, pots and gas lamps will show you the childhood memories of people who used to live in a Turkish village.
You can visit Guzelcamli Culture House as free of charge every days of the week.
