The eggs hatched and the young sea turtles were heading to the sea. But there were lots of bystanders viewing their journey. This made the youngsters walk to the lights coming from the people, instead of going to the sea. With the help of these people, the turtles were turned to the sea again.

EKODOSD has been protecting this new nest for a while. Because the nest was found on a popular beach, the eggs could have been easily damaged by (innocent) holiday makers. EKODOSD sees it as their duty to protect these nests, but also to inform the public about the importance of these animals and raise awareness.
